Dear Zoe B,
Well, you're 16 months old now and man, you've got spunk.
You are saying new things all the time and repeating what we say. You ask for water by saying "wa-wa" and you say car, ball, hot, hi, bye, mama, dada, buppa (grandpa), cold (co), and moo(as in the noise cows make). You're such a big girl, Zoe B! Crap! How is it happening? At the same time I'm loving that you're able to communicate so well but I'm also so freaked out that you're not a baby anymore. I know - get over it, right? Wrong. You're my bean. My little baby. And you're GROWING UP TOO FAST! I still treasure our cuddles all through the night and nursing you. You're going to hate it when I'm still trying to nurse you when you're 12. Just kidding. 10. :)
You LOVE shoes, especially your little Crocs (thanks, Sue!) and your red mary-janes. You wear shoes just about all the time. If your feet are not in shoes it's either because you're sleeping, in the bathtub, or you can't find any. And since I'm a horrible housekeeper and stuff is everywhere, you can always find shoes. Mostly they're not matching. Whatevs.
You also are loving being outside...which is just the way I was when I was a bean. If you're crabby I know that you'll come around if I take you outside. You love to watch the birds and go for walks and play with the soccer ball. It's good for me, too, because being outside really is quite awesome. Sometimes grownups forget.
I super duper love you, bean. Every day I thank my lucky stars for you. And every night I can't wait for another day with you.
Love,
Mama
